Description
Lavandula dentata is the scientific name for French Lavender not to be confused with Spanish Lavender which is Lavandula stoechas. French Lavender is also known as Fringed Lavender. It is early-blooming and has awesome pine-cone-shaped flowers that have dark-purple bracts. Blooms appear from late spring to summer. The foliage is gray-green.
Lavender has many culinary uses and also is great in borders and perennial gardens. You can also harvest it for fragrant floral arrangements, sachets, and potpourri.
So if you want to be kinda crazy and live on the fringe…. a good start would be buying a few of these fringed lavender!
