Mentha × piperita ‘Chocolate Mint’
Ohh..one of my favorites! I can not resist walking past Chocolate Mint without rubbing and then smelling the leaves. It has a strong peppermint patty like scent and flavor. Plants open lavender blooms in late summer and grows in zones 4 to 11. It like any mint grows in full sun to part shade. Grows 24″ tall, 18 to 24″ and more wide. Chocolate Mint makes an amazing fresh herbal! Cut enough leaves to half fill your cup. Put the tea leaves into a tea strainer, place your strainer in the cup, pour in boiling water and steep for at least five minutes. Remove tea strainer and sip the most amazingly refreshing tea!
