Thymus ‘Victor Reiter’
Reiters Thyme grows well in zones 4-9, has pink flowers in early to mid summer and grows to 2- 3″ tall and can grow to 30″ wide. Likes the sun, especially the sun on a nice secluded beach, glass of ice tea… wait that’s me, sorry started to day dream. Reiters Thyme also likes the sun. It was reportedly introduced into California Horticulture by the legendary Bay Area plantsman Victor Reiter (1903-1986), who brought it from a trip to the Mediterranean region. Use it liberally to fill crevices or cascade over walls.
