Houttuynia cordata ‘Chameleon’  is the scientific name with the common name being Chameleon Plant, also known as the hoot nanny plant….. ok not really but that is what I call it at times. Hoot Nanny is the easy way of saying Houttuynia. (I know, right)  It is a perennial in Zones 4-10 Great ground cover but can be very invasive…does not respect other plants personal space. But if you are looking to cover a hillside or any other area by itself, it works very well. Could also be planted in containers to stop the mad rush of this plant. We did warn you.
